Prom perfect at Hale Barns Carnival 2021
The sun was shining bright for the Hale Barns Carnival 2021 Proms with Russell Watson event - so much so the Forever Tenors got sunburn!
Performing alongside a singer so talented he’s dubbed ‘The Voice’ was an incredible way for Forever Tenors to make their stage debut after months spent writing and recording their music during lockdown.
As Covid restrictions were still in place, a modest crowd of 2,000 people gathered at St Ambrose Playing Fields in Altrincham to watch Russell Watson perform his classics, supported by Forever Tenors.
With glorious weather, the atmosphere was amazing and Forever Tenors provided the perfect warm-up as their set of popular songs reworked with an Italian, operatic twist took the audience by storm.
The duo even managed to share tea and cake with celebrity tenor Russell after some pre-event banter with the star on social media resulted in him turning up with a lemon drizzle cake of all things! Quite the madhatters tea party!
Other acts headlining at the three-day event included Maizie Williams, Boney M and 80s favourites Katrina and The Waves and 5 Star.
