Guernsey Together Music Festival
After months of lockdown restrictions, Forever Tenors jumped at the chance to travel to the beautiful island of Guernsey to perform stunning classical renditions of their favourite tracks at the Guernsey Together Music Festival.
As the birthplace of the original Les Miserables novel, by Victor Hugo, the Forever Tenors were in their element as they filled the island’s streets with breath-taking numbers from the popular West End show, much to the locals’ delight.
With around 4,000 people attending the week-long event, as well as colourful street performers, the festival was a sight to behold and provided the perfect backdrop for Forever Tenors to showcase their unique classical crossover sound that they’ve been busy creating during lockdown.
The pair scrubbed up well to perform at the perfect gala dinner finale at the Duke of Richmond Hotel with classics including Unchained Melody, Nights In White Stain and Take That's Rule the World, sung with an Italian, operatic twist and orchestral backdrop.
Forever Tenors were made so welcome by the people of Guernsey and were even kindly invited to watch a performance of West End musical Annie, directed by the brilliant Lisa Johnston MBE and performed by the Guernsey Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Club.
They’ll definitely be back again next year!
